il nous est souvent arrivé de nous retrouver, après un concert, à la fin d’un bon repas ou d’une longue journée de travail, autour de la table, fatigués et heureux
nous, c’est la bande, la famille
le chef, c’est manu, emmanuel, couché tard, levé matin !
emmanuel est doué d’une ardeur étonnante
lorsque le ciel blanchit, quand le vin nous a sonnés, il sort l’accordéon, le concertina, et il chante
et là, rien et personne ne pourrait ni ne voudrait l’arrêter
emmanuel, qui depuis plus de trente ans consacre généreusement son talent de musicien à accompagner les chanteurs, [marc robine, la bergère, et tant d’autres], est lui-même un chanteur exceptionnel
alors, les poils se dressent… les larmes viennent parfois…
c’est d’abord la voix…, mais aussi ce répertoire, unique, à la fois simple et savant, sensible et délicieusement anachronique…

alfred a cuisiné comme le chef qu’il est, nous avons vidé quelques bouteilles de sancerre du meilleur crû [paul prieur & fils], emmanuel a invité la famille, ses amours et ses amis [enfin, quelques-uns d'entre eux], myriam added, philippe prieur, julien biget, sylvie berger, michel van achter, votre serviteur et la bande. alfred et christine étaient là, ainsi que l'esprit de tous ceux qui, au fil des ans, ont eu la chance d'assister à ses veillées
